Installation example
The set includes everything necessary to retrofit a vehicle with Rotachain. No special tools are required.
The custom-fit, vehicle-specific adapter sets guarantee quick and easy installation of the drive units.
Here we show you how to install one:
- MAN TGS
- Model 52S
- Leaf suspension
- HP-1352 axle
- Twin tires
- 315/80R22.5 tires

Air and electrical set consisting of control valve, air hose, protective hose, T-pieces, and switch

12-strand chain wheel set, alternatively also available as 18-strand
The connection is made via U-bolts
Attach double nuts
Tighten double nuts to torque
Attach adapter plate
Tighten screws to torque
Attach drive units and tighten to torque
Attach chain wheel set
Attach control valve to the longitudinal member
Route the cable from the control valve to the driver’s cab along the longitudinal member
Remove the fuse box cover
Route the cable to the fuse box
Route the cable from the control valve to the driver’s cab along the longitudinal member
Install the vehicle-specific switch
Attach warning sticker
The air supply is provided via the distribution bar
Air hoses are routed from the drive units to the control valve
T-pieces distribute air to the drive units
